• Meatloaf Casserole

Full disclosure, my meatloaf recipe is not MY meatloaf recipe. It is the recipe my Stepfather’s Mom used and it is absolutely fantastic. It is one of those perfect meatloaf recipes that is not too dense and just enough onion and spice. I make it at least once a month and it is great the night I serve it and even better the next as sandwiches. I used to make this meatloaf casserole recipe ten years ago or more with a group of seniors I used to teach cooking to and it was one of our favorite recipes. I decided…

    Instant Pot Taco Rice

    September 19, 2019thetipsyhousewife

Weeknights are always a busy time to try and get dinner on the table. I love using my Instant Pot during the week to create quick and easy dinners that taste delicious. I have become obsessed with my Instant Pot and make everything in it from rice, to hard boiled eggs to Sunday Roasts. I never have much luck cooking rice on the stove top but with my Instant Pot it comes out perfect every single time. Truth be told, we got the Instant Pot fro Christmas one year and I didn’t start using it right away because I was…

    White Cheddar Bacon Burgers

    June 11, 2019thetipsyhousewife

I know that it’s all the rage to put all the toppings you possibly can on a cheeseburger, but when it comes to burgers I think simple is best. I make these White Cheddar Bacon Burgers on the grill when the weather cooperates¬† and they are always a hit with whomever I make them for. These White Cheddar Bacon Burgers have very few ingredients but the few they do are quality ingredients which is what makes them extra special. The two ingredients that are a MUST are: Good Quality Cheddar Cheese Good Quality Ground Beef I like to buy the…

  • Memorial Day Weekend Ideas

*I was provided a gift card from Tony’s Fresh Market to shop for these items and include them in a blog post. However, all opinions are my own and I shop at Tony’s weekly. Memorial Day for most means parties, bbq’s and chilling out with a cold beer. Unfortunately for a lot of people the holiday weekend also means they have to work and they don’t get to enjoy the weekend the way others do. It has been my family’s Memorial Day tradition to head up to our lake house in Michigan for the holiday but Mr. Tipsy is one…

  • Roast Beef Sandwiches

    December 12, 2018thetipsyhousewife

I have been using my Instant Pot more often for two reasons. One, my Aunt recently purchased one and I know she will be looking for recipes and two, the busier I get with Tipsy, the less time I have. I love making slow cooked meats and soups and the Instant Pot makes this possible on even the busiest of days. We were having a taste for Roast Beef Sandwiches and when I stopped at my local butcher recently, they had a beautiful rump roast on sale. This Rump Roast can be a main course served with mashed potatoes and…

One of my favorite products to cook with are the Chateau Foods Dumplings. Chateau Dumplings are a traditional Czech dumplings in both bread and potato dumplings. The bread is typically made with a roast pork and served with gravy. The potato dumplings are traditionally large and served with butter and dill. Chateau makes a mini version that I LOVE to keep on hand in the freezer. They are super versatile, and can be eaten on their own.¬† I like to use them in place of pasta, rice or any of my other typical carb components. I can best describe them…
