Whenever I’m in the Northwoods, I like to craft a special cocktail to commemorate the reason we are up here.
This holiday season I decided to make a cocktail that honors the season but is also reminiscent of the fun summer nights we had by the campfire. So I came up with this toasted marshmallow cocktails. Simple to make. I recommend using Chicago Vodka, the crisp clean taste of this vodka truly highlights the slightly sweet notes of the drinks. It’s made right in the heart of Chicago on Goose Island which my friends up here in the North LOVE, because they enjoy getting a taste of the big city. Plus you can get Chicago Vodka at any Binny’s or at my very favorite, Mariano’s. I’m always a fan of booze I can buy WHILE I’m doing my grocery shopping. Especially when the price is right too. Only $ 19.99 a bottle! Here’s how I made it.
2 Shots of Chicago Vodka
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
2 teaspoons of powdered sugar
A decent splash of milk or cream
2 to 3 Large Marshmallows
- Place all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well.
- Pour cocktail into a rocks glass and top with marshmallows.
- I took a fireplace lighter and lightly toasted the tops of the marshmallows, but this isn’t a required step.
This is a perfect drink to sip on while putting up your Holiday decor or watching the snow fall!
