Easy Sunday Pasta Easy Sunday Pasta is the perfect dish for when you want the comfort of a Sunday Sauce without having to stir a pot on the stove all day. Make this with your favorite jar or marinara, a finely minced onion and some minced garlic. This dish pairs well with a fresh loaf of bread and crisp salad. Be sure to pick yourself up a nice parmesan cheese to top this off with. The full printable recipe is linked below. January 23, 2020thetipsyhousewife

Copycat California Pizza Kitchen Kung Pao Spaghetti I love California Pizza Kitchen. CPK has some of my favorite food. My very favorite dish that I order every time I go is the Kung Pao Spaghetti. I think that I have finally mastered a copycat CPK Kung Pao spaghetti recipe. This version is a little more family friendly. The dried chilis that are part of the CPK version are eliminated from this recipe. I added crispy chicken tenders to my copycat CPK Kung Pao spaghetti. You can use chicken or if you like you can use shrimp. While this recipe is…

    Zesty Bean Salad

    August 6, 2019thetipsyhousewife

Without fail, Mister Tipsy texts me everyday, halfway through his work day, to ask me what we are having for dinner. Last week when he texted me and asked and I responded with my answer that we were having Zesty Bean Salad, I didn’t get the typical excited response. He hasn’t quite caught on that I have been working more meatless meals into our weekly rotation this Summer. I knew this Zesty Bean Salad would be a hard sell in theory, but I also knew once he tasted it , he would love it. I used to make a very…

    Crispy Bbq Pork Chops

    July 16, 2019thetipsyhousewife

People constantly ask me how I am able to make dinner almost every night. I explain that dinner doesn’t have to be an overly complicated endeavor. Everything doesn’t have to be made from scratch and it’s perfectly fine to take some shortcuts in order to feed yourself or your family. One of my favorite short cut recipes are these Crispy Bbq Pork Chops. They are super easy to make, take very little time, make very little mess and they are absolutely delicious. The great thing about this recipe is that it produces a fried chop without the mess of having…

I want to start by saying that this hardly qualifies as a “recipe”. Since I have made these on my Instagram stories I have gotten so many questions about how I make these cheater Fried Chicken Sliders. I decided it would be easier to write this up as a blog post then to keep having to answer questions about what I buy to make these and how I make them. These Fried Chicken Sliders are am easy lunch or a perfect dinner for a busy day when you don’t have a lot of time to get dinner on the table.…

  • Italian Sausage Sandwich

    June 26, 2019thetipsyhousewife

It is FINALLY Summer here in the Midwest and in my house it wouldn’t be Summer without a great Italian Sausage Sandwich from the grill. Except of course when you can’t figure out how to put on the new propane tank. I make these sandwiches every year on my grill and wouldn’t you know it, the day I decide to make them, Mister Tipsy isn’t home and I cant figure out how to attach the propane tank. The good news is I was still able to make this Italian Sausage Sandwich on the stove, in my cast iron skillet and…

For the last ten days I have been exploring the food scene of the Northwoods of Wisconsin and the Western U.P. of Michigan. It has been a wonderfully delicious adventure filled with many culinary delights except for one, sushi. I of course came home from this magical trip craving the one thing I couldn’t get. Not in the mood to go out and never in the mood to spend a lot of money on any kind of food that I am able to prepare myself, I decided to make my famous, poor mans sushi at home. If you have followed…
