A Towering Trip As those of you who follow my Tipsy Housewife Travels page or Tipsy Mousewife Instagram profile know, I have a weakness for Disney trips and sharing my opinions about those trips. When I hear there’s a new offering available, I’m always tempted to check it out and in this instance, I gave into temptation and decided to stay at the newly opened Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Resort during my last trip to the Florida Parks. So how was it? Well, the Disney resorts are almost always a five star experience, to me, but if I’m being…

The Hoopla about the Hoop Dee Doo Revue I think if you asked the average person about their most magical Disney experience, you’d probably get an answer about watching fireworks or seeing the joy in their child’s eyes when they first gazed upon a real-life version of the evil critic from Ratatouille. I won’t deny how great that stuff is, but when I think of Disney magic, I think of something a little more retro and bit more western. Let’s hop on a boat from the Wilderness Lodge and be sure to bring your appetite and sense of nostalgia because…

Mickey Meat Majesty When you think of the food at Disney, you probably think about Mickey Mouse pancakes or the famous Dole Whip. You may not think you’d find some of the best steakhouses at Disney but that’s why you have me to be your Tipsy Mousewife! Now are these going to be the best steaks you’ve ever eaten? Sure, why not? Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort…

A Great, Rustic Themed Resort Disney might as well be its own country at this point. You can take many trips to each of their parks and still not see everything though you can’t actually become a citizen of Disney yet! You can, however, become an annual passholder and unlike a passport, this pass gives you access to exclusive sales. I decided to take advantage of a recent summer sale and, get this: it was super hot in Florida in July. Can you believe it? Anyway, since the last thing I wanted was to create Florida’s newest swamp in my…

Juicy Travels If you’re a regular follower of the Tipsy Housewife Facebook page you might have seen that I recently took a business trip to Minneapolis. If you’re not a regular follower of the Tipsy Housewife page then you should fix that and join a great community! Anyway, it may have been a business trip but I managed to pack in a lot of pleasure as well… does that sound weird? I just meant like, you know when people ask “business or pleasure…” Never mind, you get it LOL. Anyway, I had a lot of followers ask me about how…

If you’ve been online for any amount of time you probably know that people have very strong opinions on Disney World vacations ranging from where you should stay, what you should eat, how you should structure your time and how long you should stay for. On that last point, you might hear recommendations ranging from anywhere between four days to over a week. What you probably won’t ever hear is the suggestion you take a single whirlwind day, but that’s exactly what I did! Yep, I flew from Chicago to Orlando, spent the day at Disney World, and then flew…
