• How To Make The Best Grilled Cheese ~ A Tipsy Tuesday Tip

    July 3, 2018thetipsyhousewife

A grilled cheese seems pretty simple to make. That being said I’ve sampled a lot of them and have had some pretty bad ones. To make a perfect one isn’t hard, you just need some good quality ingredients. Last week I was headed Up North for the Fourth of July Holiday and I knew I would be passing through Wisconsin aka America’s Dairyland and that had to stop at my favorite cheese shop to get the most important ingredient of all, the cheese. There are several kinds of cheeses that work well in Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, American, Mozzarella, but I…

  • Cure The Sushi Craving At Home • In 15 Minutes • For Less Than $15 ~ A Tipsy Tuesday Tip

    June 5, 2018thetipsyhousewife

For the last ten days I have been exploring the food scene of the Northwoods of Wisconsin and the Western U.P. of Michigan. It has been a wonderfully delicious adventure filled with many culinary delights except for one, sushi. I of course came home from this magical trip craving the one thing I couldn’t get. January 12, 2018thetipsyhousewife

Come with us on our journey of exploration for some of…

Travel Wisconsin ran a commercial a few years back about the Wisconsin Supper Club and The Old Fashioned Cocktail. In the commercial it teaches that an Old Fashioned is served in a ten ounce glass, with a maraschino cherry, and an orange slice but that a REAL Old Fashioned must be served in a room with a brick fireplace, an a deer head mounted on a wall, by a waitress named Diane.  (See the commercial here The Wisconsin Supper Club) As a lover of the Wisconsin Supper Club scene and pretty much all things Wisconsin, this commercial gives me all…
