Kidding! Kidding! Take this easy, versatile recipe and run wild with it.
Thereés a full, printable recipe card at the end of this post but first Iéve got some tips and pics to help guide your apple pie process.
Rip, Roll, Push, Fill, and Bake
This is one of those recipes that you could make while blindfolded as long as you donét mind the mess. Ités also a great one to make with kids.
The only real steps are rip, roll, push, top, and bake. The kids probably shouldnét be involved with that last step, however.

The full, detailed instructions are in the recipe card but Iéll give you the quick version. Feel free to turn it into some sort of song to sing with your kids, or to your pets, while you prepare this tasty treat.
Rip! Rip off the dough an inch small.
Roll! Roll that dough in a ball.
Push! Push dough into the tin.
Fill! Cheese and fruit for the win!
Bake! This is the last step.
Sorry if that last line was a little less exciting. You can whisper it at the end of the song.

Cheese Chat
Ités time to talk about cheese on or, in this case, under apple pie.
While I had originally thought this was a Southern thing, it is apparently English but Iém not changing the name of the recipe because I like it this way.

You can call them whatever you want in your own house but under my roof they are Southern Apple Pie Bites!
I know some people are very weirded out by the idea of cheese on apple pie, but the people against it rarely seem to be the ones who have actually tried it.
Feel free to omit the cheese if youére uncertain, but consider putting it in at least a few of them so you can see if ités for you.

The Printable Pie Recipe
This recipe is perfect for brunches, the holiday dessert table, or even just a sweet snack during the week.

- Press each circle of dough into the muffin pan. Repeat until they are all filled.
- Sprinkle a little cheddar cheese into each dough cup.
- In a bowl, use kitchen shears to break up the apples in the pie filling into smaller bites.
- Add about a tablespoon of pie filling to each dough cup.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven, let cool in the pan, then remove from the pan and sprinkle with cinnamon.
For parties, you can make a variety of pie filling, just omit the cheese. Kids love eating them as much or even more than theyéll enjoy helping make them!
I hope you make them and enjoy them as much as we do!
