Something Fun For Valentine’s Day

The finished drink surrounded by cans of Diet Coke and bottles of raspberry syrup

This Raspberry Rose Diet Coke is light, crisp, floral, and just sweet enough to feel special without being over the top. It also makes the cutest little Valentine’s Day gift basket for a Diet Coke lover with the syrups, fun straws, and a few garnishes tucked inside.

Mr. Tipsy and I really fell back in love with Diet Coke at Disney World this past year. Somewhere between park days and resort breaks, we heard someone refer to Diet Coke as “fridge cigarettes,” and we laughed so hard it became part of our daily vocabulary for the rest of the trip.

This Raspberry Rose Diet Coke is a fun way to dress up that ice cold can with a little Valentine’s flair. It also makes the perfect low effort gift basket.

Tuck in the syrups, a few fun garnishes, and some cute straws and you’ve got a sweet, thoughtful Valentine’s Day gift for the Diet Coke lover in your life.

Torani Syrups

I used Torani syrups for this drink. They’re one of those things I always keep around because they’re so versatile.

A lot of times you can find them on sale at HomeGoods and I also see them at regular grocery stores. I ordered mine from Amazon since I use them constantly for lattes too.

They last forever, come in tons of flavors, and make it really easy to turn simple drinks into something that feels a little more special.

Pick Your Pop

If Diet Coke isn’t your thing, this drink is super easy to customize. You can swap in any pop you love or even use a plain or lightly flavored seltzer water for something a little lighter and less sweet.

The rose and raspberry syrups still shine through, so it works just as well no matter what bubbly base you choose.

Something Even The Teens Will Love

If you’re looking for something fun to do on Valentine’s Day that isn’t a ton of work, a little beverage station is such an easy win. Set out a few different pops or seltzers, a couple flavored syrups, some fruit, and fun glasses or straws and let everyone make their own drink.

It feels festive and interactive without turning into a whole project, which is exactly my kind of holiday activity.

Raspberry Rose Diet Coke Recipe

The finished drink surrounded by cans of Diet Coke and bottles of raspberry syrup

This Raspberry Rose Diet Coke is light, floral, and just sweet enough without feeling heavy. The rose syrup gives it a soft, almost vintage soda fountain vibe, while the raspberry adds a little tart punch. It’s one of those drinks that feels fun and special but takes almost no effort, which is honestly my favorite kind. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, a girls’ night, or just because you want your Diet Coke to feel fancy.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces ice cold Diet Coke
  • 1 ounce rose syrup
  • 1 ounce raspberry syrup
  • A few dehydrated raspberries
  • A couple maraschino cherries
  • Tiny splash of lemon juice, optional
  • Crushed ice

Instructions

  • Add crushed ice to a tall glass.
  • Pour in the rose syrup and raspberry syrup.
  • Add a very small splash of lemon juice if using.
  • Slowly top with the ice cold Diet Coke.
  • Garnish with maraschino cherries and dehydrated raspberries.
  • If you want a stronger raspberry flavor, you can muddle the dehydrated raspberries directly into the rose and raspberry syrups before adding them to the glass, then continue with the recipe as written.
  • For extra fun, serve with heart shaped straws and totally get into the cute drink moment.
