This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #Kaukauna100 If you have been following me for some time you know that I am a Wisconsin Supper Club groupie. You can read about my many Wisconsin Supper Club adventures by CLICKING HERE. One of the things I love most about the whole Supper Club atmosphere is the Kaukauna® Cheese Spread and Crackers that are complimentary at almost any supper club you go to in Wisconsin. This is probably because Kaukauna® was created and has ALWAYS been produced IN the great state of…

  • A Detroit Style Pizza Party

    July 7, 2018thetipsyhousewife

Have you heard of Detroit Style Pizza? I hadn’t until the Food Network reached out to me to ask if they could use one of my Instagram Photos for an upcoming episode of The Kitchen featuring Detroit Style Pizza. Sure I said, why not. I was confused what my photo of Brick Cheese had to do with it, but after watching the episode, and being disappointed they didn’t say my name, I knew what Detroit Style Pizza was all about. I decided I wanted to make it so I started doing some research. There are several unique things when making…

    July 5, 2018thetipsyhousewife

If you’re a Tipsy follower then you may or may not know that I have a Wisconsin Supper Club Obsession. If you don’t know what a Wisconsin Supper Club is, then you can read about the history of it  HERE. Of course everyone who knows about Supper Clubs knows that they are known for their Brandy Old Fashioned Cocktail. In fact I wrote a whole blog post about the Old Fashioned called “A Waitress Named Diane”. They are also known for having delicious Midwestern Fare like Prime Rib, Fresh Fried Fish Fry’s and Broasted Chicken. I of course love all…

  • How To Make The Best Grilled Cheese ~ A Tipsy Tuesday Tip

    July 3, 2018thetipsyhousewife

A grilled cheese seems pretty simple to make. That being said I’ve sampled a lot of them and have had some pretty bad ones. To make a perfect one isn’t hard, you just need some good quality ingredients. Last week I was headed Up North for the Fourth of July Holiday and I knew I would be passing through Wisconsin aka America’s Dairyland and that had to stop at my favorite cheese shop to get the most important ingredient of all, the cheese. There are several kinds of cheeses that work well in Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, American, Mozzarella, but I…

  • I’m An Old Fashioned Kind Of Gal

    June 21, 2018thetipsyhousewife

I have an O-B-S-E-S-S-I-O-N with Wisconsin Supper Club Style Brandy Old Fashioned’s. My parents have a home in the Western U.P. of Michigan which is right over the border from Wisconsin, the home of The Brandy Old Fashioned. Last year I even did an Old Fashioned Crawl through the Northwoods and wrote a blog post about it called “A Waitress Named Diane”. It was fantastic. Since I cannot permanently live in the Northwoods (although I wish I could) I decided I needed to perfect the Brandy Old Fashioned at home. The drink itself does require more than a few ingredients,…

  • Cure The Sushi Craving At Home • In 15 Minutes • For Less Than $15 ~ A Tipsy Tuesday Tip

    June 5, 2018thetipsyhousewife

For the last ten days I have been exploring the food scene of the Northwoods of Wisconsin and the Western U.P. of Michigan. It has been a wonderfully delicious adventure filled with many culinary delights except for one, sushi. I of course came home from this magical trip craving the one thing I couldn’t get. Not in the mood to go out and never in the mood to spend a lot of money on any kind of food that I am able to prepare myself, I decided to make my famous, poor mans sushi at home. If you have followed…

  • Why Foodies Need To Visit The Northwoods

    August 17, 2017thetipsyhousewife

My parents started coming to the Western U.P. Of Michigan & The Northwoods of Wisconsin twenty years ago when they started dating. Specifically they came to Watersmeet, Michigan which sits immediately over the border of Land O Lakes, Wisconsin. They would camp in the Ottawa National Forest and eventually bought land and built their dream lake house seven years ago. I came up for the first time the first Summer the house was built and immediately fell in love with the area. I secretly believe I was a “Yooper” in a past life because I feel so at home here.…
