Wisconsin Supper Club Cheeseball A Wisconsin supper club inspired cheeseball made with all the supper club salad bar classics. Whipped cream cheese, Wisconsin made sharp cheddar, bacon, horseradish and banana pepper slices. You whip all the ingredients together, form into a ball, coat in more shredded cheese and some bacon. To make things easier you can also serve it as a spread. Either way, it is delicious. The complete recipe is at the end of this post. You can easily print this recipe card. Gourmet Dining at The Top of Wisconsin For years my followers have asked me for recommendations for places to go when I am “Up North” and I finally am putting the pen to paper and sharing the places I love when I am in the Northwoods. As you may or may not know, my Mom has a second home in the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan, also known as the U.P. For those that are geographically challenged like me, the Western U.P. is directly over the northernmost Wisconsin border. I am fortunate enough to be able to stay at the…

  • Our Day Out In Eagle River, Wisconsin

    January 13, 2022thetipsyhousewife

Going To Town When we are Up North in Watersmeet, we plan our days and outings around necessary errands we have to run. We planned on Wednesday to go to Eagle River, Wisconsin which is about 3o minutes from our house. Eagle River is where the Ace Hardware is, Tractor Supply as well as some grocery stores and other “city” type places we do not have in Watersmeet. The reason for going to Eagle River was because we were out of dog food. Our plan for the day was as follows: Go to Tractor Supply and get dog food and…

Have you heard of Detroit Style Pizza? I hadn’t until the Food Network reached out to me to ask if they could use one of my Instagram Photos for an upcoming episode of The Kitchen featuring Detroit Style Pizza. Sure I said, why not. I was confused what my photo of Brick Cheese had to do with it, but after watching the episode, and being disappointed they didn’t say my name, I knew what Detroit Style Pizza was all about. I decided I wanted to make it so I started doing some research. There are several unique things when making…

  • How To Make The Best Grilled Cheese ~ A Tipsy Tuesday Tip

    July 3, 2018thetipsyhousewife

A grilled cheese seems pretty simple to make. That being said I’ve sampled a lot of them and have had some pretty bad ones. To make a perfect one isn’t hard, you just need some good quality ingredients. Last week I was headed Up North for the Fourth of July Holiday and I knew I would be passing through Wisconsin aka America’s Dairyland and that had to stop at my favorite cheese shop to get the most important ingredient of all, the cheese. There are several kinds of cheeses that work well in Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, American, Mozzarella, but I…
