Three Recipes You Need To Be Making This Weekend

August 11, 2018thetipsyhousewife

I know that it’s Summer and everyone is living life outdoors, but we are getting closer to  the “ber” months and it’s time to start preparing to be cozy. I for one am looking forward to the end of Summer, cooler days and weekend comfort food cooking. Perhaps I am jumping the gun just a little, but August is a good time to get back in the kitchen and brush up on those cooking skills that may have gotten lost over the backyard bbq. I rounded up three recipes you need to be making this weekend to help you get back on the cooking track.

This week I made a few different recipes. One was a Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, taught to me by my bosses mother. Unfortunately I am not allowed to share this recipe, yet. It’s a Top Secret recipe, but I am working on it. But it had me thinking about Fall soups and crock pot meals. Have I mentioned how anxious I am for Fall?

I did make a few recipes that I AM allowed to share.

One is an amazing Stone Fruit Salad with some fresh Spearmint from our garden. Stone fruit is in season right now and it tastes amazing. I prepared this salad with apricots, peaches, cherry plums and blueberries. You can find the recipe by clicking here → Seasonal Fruit Salad with Mint Vinaigrette.

Another recipe that I know you are sure to love is this Taco Pasta. Creamy, cheesy, just enough spice will make this dish a family favorite. This is a great recipe when you have picky eaters because the toppings are all on the side. You can find the recipe by clicking here → Taco Pasta With All The Toppings

A taco and pasta lovers dream. Perfect for even the pickiest eaters

The last recipe you need to try is one my boss taught me called Lo Ba Bung. It is a delicious and easy recipe that is perfect for a busy day. I always try to keep the few ingredients on hand that are needed to make this dish for when I would like a comforting meal and I just don’t have a lot of time. This dish will be one of your favorites. You can find the recipe by clicking here → Taiwanese Pork & Rice Bowl, Lo Ba Bung

Taiwanese, Asian, Ground Pork, Soy Sauce, Egg

These are great recipes that wont take up a lot of time and can get you back into the cooking spirit. They are all perfect for weekday meals, but also special enough for weekend cooking. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
