Three Layer Brownies
A Delightfully Easy Dessert

If I have said it once, I’ve said it 100 times: I can’t bake. So when I saw these Three Layer Brownies all over Pinterest I knew two things.
One was that I had to make them and two was that I needed to find a shortcut.
This is where box and ready-made mixes come in.
If youére like me and you canét bake but you also want to make delicious baked treats, then this is the secret cheat code youéve always needed.

Thereés a recipe card with all of the ingredients and instructions at the end of the post, but ités so simple you could probably write it down on your hand, or even get it tattooed to show your true brownie dedication.
You can also hit the “print†button on the recipe card to bring it all up on one page without ads and you can screenshot or print it from there in case youére not ready for a new tattoo just yet.
The Box Mix Kids
We donét all have the time or ability to make dough from scratch and thatés why box mixes exist. Also, if weére being honest the box mix probably tastes better than a lot of peoplesé best home made attempts.
Not you, of course!
If youére reading this and you make baked goods from scratch then your baked goods are definitely better than the box mix and you should send me some. Iém just talking about other people.
Anyway, thereés a reason people buy mixes and thereés no shame in using them. If you tell your guests you made these brownies entirely from scratch, I wonét be the one to give away your secret.

Just be sure you crush up the cookies well enough to hide the “Oreo†logo if youére going to make that claim.
Tip Top Toppers
These brownies are a decadent treat but they taste even better with some vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.

If you feel guilty about using the box mix, you can always make your own whipped cream using my recipe. Ités easier than you think!
Are you really feeling on a roll? You can make your own caramel too!

The Recipe Card
The simple steps make it a great dessert to make in a pinch. Ités a perfect holiday dessert when youére already spending a bunch of time on the main meal.
Three Layer Brownies

An easy shortcut to delicious brownies.
Ingredients
- 1 box of Fudge Brownie Mix
- The Egg, Water and Oil to make the mix.
- 1 package of Tollhouse Cookie Dough
- 1 package of Oreo Cookies
Instructions
- Prepare the brownie mix as it directs on the package and set aside.
- Let the cookie dough soften.
- Prepare a 9 x 9 baking pan with non stick spray or oil.
- Spread the cookie dough in the bottom of the pan and a little up the sides of the dish. The cookie dough should be about a 1/2 inch thick.
- Place the Oreo cookies in a Ziplock bag, close the bag, cover with a dish towel, and use something heavy to crush up the cookies so that there is a mix of finely crushed cookies and some large chunks.
- Pour the prepared brownie mix over the cookie dough.
- Top with the crushed up Oreo cookies.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes. Every oven is different so check on them often and use a toothpick to check the center before taking them out.
