I was catering an appetizer themed party this past Saturday and was trying to come up with new ideas for appetizers. As a brand ambassador for Chateau Foods I happen to have an endless supply of dumplings in my freezer and was brainstorming ways to work them into this menu. I saw someone making French Onion Soup over on Instagram and decided to find a way to combine the two. It took me a couple trials to get the recipe for these French Onion Soup Bites perfect, but once I got it right I knew I had to share it…

While I enjoy going to unique restaurants and food destinations, one of mine and Mr. Tipsy’s favorite places to eat out occasionally is the Olive Garden. Sometimes I go just to have the salad and bread sticks. For some reason that salad just hits the spot. I wanted to recreate it at home and that is how I came up with the recipe for this Simple Salad with an Easy Creamy Italian Dressing. I took everything I love about that Olive Garden salad and made it my own. This salad makes a great dinner and an especially great lunch. The…

Call me weird, but one of my favorite things about a pizza party is when you have salad and pizza on your plate and some of the salad dressing gets on your slice and pretty much makes it absolutely perfect. This is why I started making Salad Pizza at home. It makes a really great lunch or a dinner and with the invention of bag salad kits, your whole family can customize their own pizza. I was at Aldi the other morning, per usual, and I saw they had the naan I use to make my quick and easy wood…

The holidays are HARD! So many parties so little time. I’m the kind of person who has this elaborate vision for how things should look at my events. Several years ago I decided to let go of that perfect visual and find ways to actually have fun at my own parties while still making them special. One of the ways I achieved this new Zen Like Tipsy was by incorporating the Buffet into…

I used to be an occasional wine drinker for no other reason than the fact that it was there. I was mostly a beer and mixed drink type of person. This was because I knew NOTHING about wine other than I thought I liked only white, cold, crisp wine. My old routine was, have a taste for wine, go to the store, look for the Sauvignon Blanc section and (GASP) buy the one with the best looking label that also met my varying price point requirements for that week’s budget. A terrible habit I know. Then I went to work…

Cranberry Apple Cider Sangria 1 C of Apple Juice or Cider (juice boxes can even be used) 1 C of Cranberry Juice 1 C Vodka 1 Bottle of Cheap Red Wine (the cheaper the better) 2 C of Frozen or Fresh Fruit (any fruit can be used, I used apples, and frozen peaches and frozen blueberries) 1 T of Cinnamon Mix all the ingredients in a jug and enjoy! I personally like to mix this up and portion it out into 10 16oz Ball canning jars and keep in the fridge to grab and go. But either way works fine.…
