Summer Linguine Salad

Linguine Salad
Summer Linguine Salad is a perfect Summer Salad. Made with Al Dente Linguine, a special McCormick seasoning plus crisp, fresh veggies. This salad sits overnight making it even better the next day. This is the perfect side dish for all your Summer parties.
Family Recipes Are The Best
My Aunt Nita makes some of my favorite appetizer recipes ever. This linguine salad is a recipe she has been making since the 1980’s! I don’t make it too often and I am not sure why. Every Summer I have such a taste for it so I make a large batch and Mr. Tipsy and I enjoy it all week-long. It keeps in the fridge for many days, in fact, the longer it sits, the better it tastes. This is a perfect salad to take to a party, to take camping or just have on hand for busy Summer days. It can be eaten as a side or as a complete meal. Here is what you need to buy:
- 1 Box of Linguine, Cooked according to the package directions and completely cooled. I like to use Barilla Pasta because it holds up really well in this salad.
- 1 Bottle of Prepared Italian Salad Dressing, for this recipe I like to use Classic Italian from Wishbone.
- 1 2.62 ounce bottle of McCormick Salad Supreme Seasoning, this is my Aunt’s secret ingredient, but she said I can tell you.
- 1 Seedless Cucumber, diced.
- 1 Red Pepper, diced.
- 1/2 C of Diced Black Olives
- 1 C of Cherry Tomatoes, diced.

Old School Ingredient
This McCormick Salad Supreme Seasoning has been a staple in my family since the 1980’s. I find it everywhere. Walmart, Jewel, Amazon, etc. There is always a rumor that they are discontinuing this ingredient but they haven’t yet. This has the flavors of paprika (red pepper), poppy seed, sesame seed and salt. I just love it. It also adds a pretty red color to the pasta salad.

Tomato Powder
The original recipe does not have this infamous tomato powder in it, but if you have purchased the tomato powder for my Tangy Tomato BLT Pasta Salad, this is another great recipe you can use it in. It really takes this salad to the next level.

Any Pasta Will Do
My family uses linguine for this recipe which I feel adds such a unique twist. You don’t see a lot of pasta salads with linguine. I think this pasta shape is perfect for soaking in this delicious dressing. Any pasta shape will do for this recipe if you want to use another.
