Tangy Tomato BLT Pasta Salad
The Best Side at the BBQ

This Tangy Tomato BLT Pasta Salad has been a family favorite for decades.
It is the PERFECT pasta salad for Summer.
I like to mix all of mine together keep it in the fridge to snack on for several days. To me, it doesn’t get soggy but if you are worried it will you can keep all the components prepped and separate and combine each time you eat.

Tomato Powder
The most unique ingredient I use for this recipe is this tomato powder I get for $8 on amazon.
This powder is JUST dehydrated tomatoes. A lot of people think it is like tomato bouillon but it is not.
Bouillon has salt and MSG so that would be too much sodium for this recipe. If you absolutely do not want to order this powder you can omit it, but it really amps up the tangy tomato flavor of this salad.
You can also use the powder in many other recipes like soups, stews, and pasta sauce.
But that’s not all!
I add it to mayo that I use for sandwiches.
I use it to make salad dressing and it’s great in chili. I promise I’m not being paid this is just a product I believe in.
Even if you never use it again, I highly recommend getting it for this salad because it will blow you away with how good it makes the dressing.
You SHOULD use it again, however. If you need inspiration you can see all of my recipes that use the tomato powder.

A Great Way To Use Those Garden Tomatoes
We are all always looking for ways to use up all the tomatoes we grow before they go bad. This is a great way to include them in summer meal planning.
It’s a much better alternative to chasing your friends down with baskets full of tomatoes, begging them to take them before the chill of winter sets in.
