Cheesy Egg Breakfast Biscuits

Cheesy Egg Breakfast Biscuits are a breakfast favorite. Simple steps and very few ingredients like cheese, eggs and ready made biscuit dough. These bake up for a great breakfast without a lot of work. I have even made these ahead of time and popped them in the microwave, toaster oven or air fryer to reheat them.

There is a full, printable recipe card at the end of this post. You can hit the print button under the picture of the recipe on the card to have it condense into a one page recipe with no ads. Kaukauna Cheese

I love all things Wisconsin, so this should be obvious why I use this cheese. But the real reason is that this packed cheese holds up REALLY well when being baked in these biscuits. You CAN use other cheese, but I have found that it melts out when I bake these. I also love the rich flavor of this cheese. You find these cheese in the fancy cheese section near the deli. You can use any brand of similar cheese that is a harder packed spreadable cheese. I have tried this recipe with the Aldi equivalent and it is just fine as well.

Biscuit Dough

I love this breakfast for the holidays because it is so easy to make with the ready made biscuit dough. If you are feeling extra fancy, you can also use puff pastry. I think this biscuit dough bakes up perfectly for this recipe and I suggest you use it and see. When you are pressing it into your muffin cups, make sure you leave space for the eggs.

Cheesy Egg Breakfast Biscuits are a breakfast favorite. Simple steps and very few ingredients like cheese, eggs and ready made biscuit dough. These bake up for a great breakfast without a lot of work.

Ingredients

  • 1 10oz Kaukauana Sharp Cheddar Cheese Ball (or any generic equivalent or any harder packed, spreadable cheese)
  • *This brand and type is found in the fancy cheese section near the deli
  • 12 Ready Made Biscuit Dough Rounds
  • 6 Eggs
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

Instructions

  • Spray a 12 C muffin pan with non stick spray.
  • Press your biscuit rounds into each of the muffin spots making a deep indentation in each of the spots and pressing the dough up the sides.
  • In a bowl or 2 C measuring cup, whisk 6 eggs and season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the whisked eggs into each one of the biscuits about halfway filled.
  • Take your Kaukauna Sharp Cheddar Cheese Ball and remove it from the package.
  • Place the cheese in a microwave safe bowl and microwave it for about one minute, or until it is soft. The beauty of the Kaukauna Cheese is that you can spread and form the cheese into different shapes but for this recipe IF you want to expedite the process you may want to soften it more to place it into the biscuit/egg cups before baking.
  • When the cheese is softened, add about 2 teaspoons of cheese to each of the egg cups. It is ok if the eggs overflow slightly, but make sure not TOO much.
  • Heat your oven to 350 degrees, place your muffin tray in the oven on the center rack and bake for 35 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool for 10 minutes before removing them from the pan. Sprinkle with dried parsley for a pretty finish.

This looks delicious, like all your recipes! Can you please share what brand of biscuit rounds you used and where to look for them?
