New Year, New Me? Not quite. Let’s face it, most of us set unattainable goals every New Year and the drive to accomplish them fizzles out soon after The New Year rolls around. I have never been the kind of person who does well being told I CAN’T have something, especially when it comes to food or cocktails. Because of this reason I stopped setting over-the-top health goals years ago (this is clearly obvious). I felt like there was so much pressure to succeed and I was just setting myself up for disappointment. Now that I’m getting older I do…

Let’s face it, we all over indulge from time to time. We all know the feeling of not feeling well after a night out on the town, or in my case, a night at home. Some claim “the hair of the dog” is the only cure, but I disagree. The only cure is hangover food. I’m talking the salty, greasy, cheesy, buttery, variety that are oh so bad, but oh so good. I’ve highlighted ten things I’ve eaten this year that would cure any NYE debacles. Hopefully it helps soothe your New Years Day pain! Check out the list of…

Number 1 ~ Fried Chicken Tenders The fried chicken from Mother Cluckers Kitchen . Mr. Tipsy and I happened upon this place one day by accident. We loved it so much we have been back at least ten times now. The chicken is juicy and the batter is crunchy and perfect. Their side dishes are also equally as delicious. My favorites are the macaroni and cheese and the mashed potatoes. Several years ago I decided to let go of that perfect visual and find ways to actually have fun at my own parties while still making them special. One of the ways I achieved this new Zen Like Tipsy was by incorporating the Buffet into…

I try to come up with easy, versatile recipes that I can bring to parties that also don’t break the bank. Cooking can be expensive! As I began to work on my Holiday menu, I was gifted an amazing treasure! Chateau Foods…

The Bloody Mary is a weekend staple for The Tipsy Housewife, especially when I am up visiting the North Woods. Typically, Original Tipsy and I make it a point to escape the men on a Saturday, and enjoy one or maybe even two Bloody’s at our favorite spots in town. This trip we definitely needed a Girls Day Out so we decided to forgo our usual spots and become Bloody Mary Pioneers. We explored five different spots to check out their Bloody Mary offerings, and we were NOT disappointed. Come with us on our journey of exploration for some of…

Below are some tricks and tips so you too, can achieve this look for less. Purchase Holiday decor after the holiday at a steep discount and pack away for the following year. Shop Aldi or Jewel for flower bouquets. Both…
