A Simple Supper That’s Easy On The Wallet

Sauced ramen noodles topped with sliced green onion and sliced pork in a blue bowl.

This Pork and Ramen Noodle Dish is an easy meal that takes no time at all to prepare. The marinated pork has great Asian flavor and comes out juicy and delicious every time.

The noodles are cooked in the same pan as the pork, adding great flavor from the meat to the noodles. It’s a very quick and simple dinner that pairs well with a nice salad or some steamed vegetables.

Buy Ahead

I often see pork tenderloin on sale and when I do, I buy a few to keep in the freezer. These cuts of meat are easy to freeze and thaw fairly quickly for dinner in a pinch.

Aldi is a good source for affordable pork tenderloin. They’re not paying me, it’s just the facts, folks!

But they can pay me if they want… in money or tenderloins…

Marinate Overnight

This recipe is even greater when you marinate the pork overnight. As you can see from the picture, it is not swimming in a marinade.

There is some olive oil on these tenderloins as well as Montreal steak seasoning, some Worcestershire powder, and some soy sauce. This sits overnight and adds the perfect balance of flavors to this meat.

Pork tenderloin does not need a very heavy marinade to come out great. Subtle flavors really go a long way.

A package of Worcestershire powder.

Worcestershire Powder

This Worcestershire powder is a newer to me ingredient that I have been trying out in a few recipes. I also use it in my Caesar Salad Cutlet recipe.

I liked using it in this recipe for the pork and ramen as it added a great flavor to the pork and created an ideal tasting crust on the meat.

Where To Buy Worcestershire Powder

I buy this Worcestershire Sauce Powder on Amazon. It is $11.99 for a decent sized bag.

*That is an Amazon affiliate link, meaning Amazon pays me a small commission if you use the link to make a purchase.*

This powder will last forever. I have a few recipes coming up where I use it, so it wonét go to waste if you buy it.

Three pork tenderloins searing in a pan.

Sear On All Sides

When you sear off the pork tenderloins, you have to remember that the pork is almost a round shape. You must turn the tenderloins and let them sear off on all sides.

When it comes to the smaller sides of the pork, I sort of lean them against one another or the sides of the pan so that they are searing properly on those smaller sides.

There have been times where I have had to hold the tenderloin with my cooking tongs while they sear to make sure they are cooked properly.

You will use both packages of the ramen noodles, but only one packet of the ramen seasoning.

This is one of the easiest and tastiest meals you can make that still feels like a real, filling dinner.

Pork and Ramen Noodles

Sliced pork over ramen noodles.

This pork and ramen noodle dish is an easy meal that takes no time at all to prepare. The marinated pork has great Asian flavor and comes out juicy and delicious every time. The noodles are cooked in the same pan as the pork, adding great flavor from the meat to the noodles. A very quick and simple dinner that pairs well with a nice salad or some steamed vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lbs of Pork tenderloins (any amount will do, this just depends on how much pork you want)
  • Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire powder, or 1 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce *info on Worcestershire powder in post
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil of your choice '
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2 packets of ramen noodle soups (only one packet of seasoning is used)
  • 6 green onions, sliced thin
  • 1.5 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Instructions

  1. Pat your pork tenderloins dry with a paper towel. Then rub them all over with the cooking oil of your choice. I used a high smoke point olive oil. Season the tenderloins on all sides with Montreal steak seasoning and the Worcestershire powder, if you are using it.
  2. Shake the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce (if not using the powder) all over the tenderloins. Cover the tenderloins and refrigerate 4 hours or up to overnight.
  3. When you are ready to cook, remove the pork from the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking and let the pork sit out on a plate for this time. This helps ensure a great crust on the tenderloins, making it more juicy.
  4. Heat some oil in a deep sided skillet, and add your pork tenderloins one at a time to the high heated pan. Let the tenderloins sear off for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side. Make sure to turn them to get all sides since this meat is rounded. When I make these I have to cook four sides.
  5. After the tenderloins are seared off, reduce the heat, add 1/4 cup of water and cover the pan with a lid. Cook on low until the internal temperature of the tenderloins is 125 degrees. *every tenderloin is going to cook differently, larger ones take longer, smaller ones take less time. **it is highly encouraged to use a meat thermometer
  6. When the pork is done, remove it from the pan and let it rest on a plate with foil covering it.
  7. Open your packages of ramen and add the uncooked noodles to the same skillet you cooked the pork in.
  8. Add the butter and the water and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 to 7 minutes, tossing the noodles as it cooks. I cover for a couple of the minutes.
  9. Then add only ONE of the ramen seasoning packets and let this simmer for a couple of minutes. All the liquid should mostly be absorbed into the noodles. Toss with some of the green onions.
  10. Slice the pork into thin slices and toss with the ramen.
  11. When serving, top with more green onions and soemtimes I top with a sprinkle of everything but the bagel seasoning.

Another Ramen Meal

If you love ramen packets like I do, I have TWO other recipes I use them for. This Cold Ramen Noodle Salad is a Summer favorite. I also love making this Crunchy Ramen Salad.

Both recipes are easy and delicious.
