Chalet Appetizers
I first came across these Chalet Appetizers on a tik tok account that I love to follow. The ingredients are so simple and you can make a lot of these for very little cost. What appealed to me in this recipe was the Worcestershire sauce. I used a lot of the Worcestershire, which my Mom did not like, but I did. The good news is, you can adjust the seasoning to your liking. I love the addition of the grated onion to this recipe as well. My recipe calls for Parmesan cheese, but you can really swap any cheese you prefer. i would recommend using a more dry cheese for this recipe over a super creamy cheese.
You can make the mixture for this recipe ahead of time, and transport it to a party and assemble and bake them when you get there. They bake up in just ten minutes and can be made in the oven, air fryer or toaster oven. The full, printable recipe is below, I will just share a few tips and tricks before we get to the recipe. If you are not interested in my infinite wisdom, feel free to skip to the full recipe.

Onions Are The Key
It is the onions in this recipe that make it so savory and delicious. I personally like to grate the onions on my cheese grater for this recipe to add a great texture to these little toasts. You can just as well mince your onions really small for this recipe as well. You just want to make sure not to have large chunks of onions on these toasts. The small onions are what make this recipe dainty and delicious.

Choose Your Bread
I like to use a chewy, crusty bread for this recipe. I have used many different kinds of bread for this recipe and it comes out delicious every time. Pictured above is a sourdough, which was delicious. My favorite bread to use is a Pane Italiano with a nice crusty crust. You want to make sure not to use a very soft bread, as it will not stand up to the spread and will be soggy when you bake this.

Worcestershire , How Do You Say That?
I love the addition of the Worcestershire sauce in this recipe. Friendly reminder that Worcestershire Sauce does have anchovies in it. I love the saltiness of this. If you are a vegetarian, or just don’t like Worcestershire Sauce, you can swap Soy Sauce for this in the recipe. I also do not include an exact measurement in this recipe for the Worcestershire Sauce, I like a lot, you may not like as much. My suggestion is to add a little at time and taste as you go.

Chalet Appetizers

Came across these appetizers on a tik tok account I follow and found out that there are actually called Chalet Appetizers. A delicious blend of minced onions, parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce and mayonnaise. These little toasts bake up golden brown in the oven and are the perfect savory and salty snack.
Ingredients
- 6 to 8 Slices of Thicker Crusted Bread
- 1 Cup of Mayo
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
- 3 tablespoons of minced onion
- 1 to 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce (use to your personal taste preferences)
- Salt & Pepper
- Dried Dill (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the parmesan, onion, mayo, and Worcestershire sauce together.
- Preheat your oven to 475 degrees
- Spread the mixture on the bread slices, sprinkle each with salt and pepper.
- Bake for about 10 minutes, watch carefully so they do not burn. When they are golden brown, remove from the oven and sprinkle with dill. Let rest a few minutes and cut into two bite squares.
