The Best Ranch Dressing Hack
Ranch Dressing Connoisseurs Unite

The Best Ranch Dressing Hack from a ranch dressing expert. This ranch uses mayonnaise, Mexican crema, and some rice vinegar for an extra creamy sauce with some tangy zip to it.
I consider myself and ranch dressing expert. We spend a lot of our time at our second home in the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan which is only nine miles north of the Wisconsin border where ranch dressing is king.
I have likely tried hundreds of varieties. That being said, THIS Ranch Dressing Hack creates the perfect taste and texture.
You will not be disappointed.

Perfect For Any Dipping Needs
This ranch is so dip-able. It is perfect for raw veggies, chicken tenders, wings… heck it… serve it as a soup if needed. I won’t judge you!
My secret indulgence is this ranch dressing with Jay’s Hot Stuff Potato Chips. It is the ULTIMATE snack when having some Brandy Old Fashioneds.
I think Jay’s may be a Chicago chip, but I do see that they are available on Amazon! I just love this combination.

Mexican Sour Cream

Mexican Sour Cream is sold all over Chicagoland and I have also seen it sold at grocery stores all over the US. Walmart is a good place to find it.
This is sometimes labeled as “acidified sour cream” and is often called “crema.” It is a thicker, more rich, and more tangy sour cream.
I use this in place of the buttermilk that the packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Restaurant-Style calls for in the directions. You will love the difference in flavor.

Rice Vinegar

I use rice vinegar for A Lot of recipes. I like that it adds acidity but that it is also sweet and seasoned.
One of my favorite recipes using it is for my Mandarin Orange Salad to add some tanginess to the dressing. I use 1/4 cup but it may be too vinegary for some.
Start with a little and add more if you like. I prefer the 1/4 cup but you may like less.
The Mayonnaise Wars

I already know that everyone is going to argue about mayonnaise. I love Hellmann’s Mayonnaise.
In some areas it is sold as Best Foods Mayo. I think the flavors really do well with this packet dressing.
IF you really have a passion for your brand mayo, I do not think it will make a HUGE difference, but please consider giving my brand a try FOR THIS RANCH.
Veggie Motivation
My cousin recently had a baby and she is also a type one diabetic. I always make food for my cousins who have new babies and the recipes are usually of the Midwest variety.
I know my cousin prefers to eat a little healthier, so I had the idea to prep a bunch of fresh veggies and my ranch to dip if she preferred. This was a GREAT idea to bring to a new parent.
They can eat fresh but also indulge simultaneously.
