Shrimp Cocktail with Marie Rose Sauce
Make Shrimp Cocktails at Home

Shrimp Cocktail with Marie Rose Sauce is an easy and affordable recipe that feels fancy and gourmet.
Marie Rose Sauce is a British condiment made famous in the 1960s. The sauce is made by blending mayo, ketchup, Worcestershire, lemon juice, and some seasonings and herbs.
My version has a few more spices then the classic. I think this takes the flavor to the next level.
This Marie Rose sauce is perfect for shrimp but is also good with any seafood, french fries, and breaded chicken.
Marie Rose sauce also makes a great salad dressing or a vegetable sip!
I personally like to dip potato chips into it as well.

Tomato Powder
Tomato Powder is a powder I use in a lot of recipes. You can find all my recipes for tomato powder by clicking the previous link.
You will see tomato powder listed as an optional ingredient in this recipe. To me, it adds vital flavor depth.
I buy this tomato powder on Amazon. I have it linked in my Amazon shop.
*That is an affiliate link which means that Amazon pays me a small commission for using the link. This does not cost you any additional money.*
The tomato powder is just dehydrated tomatoes.
Do not confuse it with the tomato bouillon found in grocery stores. That will add too much sodium to your dish.
You can also add a sprinkle of tomato powder to soups and stews. It always adds great flavors.

Season To Your Liking
Celery seed and celery salt are some of my favorite seasonings. I like to use these in this recipe because it adds a fresh flavor.
I include the measurements for these in the recipe, but feel free to add as much or as little as you prefer. Taste this recipe after it sits for a few hours before adjusting the seasonings as the flavor gets stronger as it sits.

Affordable Appetizer
This is an affordable recipe appetizer that will really impress your friends and family. The Marie Rose sauce is very cheap to make and I use the frozen cooked shrimp from Aldi.
I got a fairly good sized bag for $8.99. I think this would be a really nice treat for Christmas or New Years that you can make for around twenty dollars.
