Something Simple With Asian Flair

Green Beans with Asian Pork

Green Beans with Crispy Crumbled Asian Pork is a simple recipe that can be served as a main course or as a delightful side dish. Made with ground pork, soy sauce, Chinese barbecue sauce, and some green beans, this is better than take out for a much more affordable price.

It is also, quite literally, one of the first things I ever cooked for Mister Tipsy. If you receive my newsletter, you may have read the story where I answered how we met.

This is the dish I made when he wanted me to cook for him. We have been together ever since.

Now I make these green beans with my filet mignon. It’s also great over rice, and while I have not tried it over potatoes, I think it would be really good that way as well.

Mostly Simple Ingredients

You will see on the recipe card below that the ingredients are quite simple. The only ingredient that may be new for some is the Char Siu Sauce.

This is just a Chinese Barbecue Sauce with great flavor and I have one pictured below. I can find this in most any grocery store and you can also find a lot of options online.

If you cannot find this, you can use a hickory barbecue sauce or even swap teriyaki sauce. There are definitely a lot more options in the store for Asian Barbecue Sauces now.

Egg Rolls

Egg rolls

Sometimes I get really crazy and make my homemade egg rolls when I make these Green Beans with Crispy Crumbled Asian pork. It is like having take-out at home.

If you really want to make it a feast, you can make this chicken and pea pod recipe. I think these are some fun recipes to try that will really impress your friends and family!
