While I enjoy going to unique restaurants and food destinations, one of mine and Mr. Tipsy’s favorite places to eat out occasionally is the Olive Garden. Sometimes I go just to have the salad and bread sticks. For some reason that salad just hits the spot. I wanted to recreate it at home and that is how I came up with the recipe for this Simple Salad with an Easy Creamy Italian Dressing. I took everything I love about that Olive Garden salad and made it my own. This salad makes a great dinner and an especially great lunch. The…

I have been WAITING anxiously for the Holiday season to start. Last week I couldn’t contain my excitement any longer and went ahead and baked what I hope to be is the first of many batches of Christmas Cookies. After perusing Pinterest for Inspiration, I realized I wanted to make Chewy Gingersnap Cookies. There were several recipes that I was drawn to, but I wanted to make it my own. Call me weird, but one of my favorite things about a pizza party is when you have salad and pizza on your plate and some of the salad dressing gets on your slice and pretty much makes it absolutely perfect. This is why I started making Salad Pizza at home. It makes a really great lunch or a dinner and with the invention of bag salad kits, your whole family can customize their own pizza. I was at Aldi the other morning, per usual, and I saw they had the naan I use to make my quick and easy wood…

I received my Imperfect Produce order late last night and included was a beautiful Acorn Squash and a couple of equally as gorgeous Russet Potatoes. I had been thinking of adding a vegetarian recipe to my Holiday collection of recipes and that is when I decided to make a Cheesy Stuffed Acorn Squash with Whipped Potatoes and Caramelized Onions. I ran the idea by my recipe blogger friend The Kitchen Wife and she suggested adding bacon. While bacon is ALWAYS a good idea, I knew I wanted to keep this veggie forward, so I decided to add some salty crunch…

My family and I get together once a year in the Spring to make Pierogi. Most years we make well over 700+ pierogi. We look forward to the day every year and half way through we wonder why we EVER decided to make this a tradition. The work is tedious but the time together is what we look forward to and enjoy. Sadly, last year we didn’t make pierogi for various reasons, but also because we sort of needed a break. I have had to resort to buying pierogi the last year as I had depleted my homemade supply a…

Stuffing Waffles, they are a thing, trust me. I am all for giving credit where credit is due, but for the life of me I cannot remember where I saw this idea for the first time. I know I did not think it up organically but I did create a recipe of my own for it. You may have never heard of Stuffing Waffles yourself, but they are a great way to use up leftover stuffing and make a great base for leftover turkey sandwiches. Think cranberry mayo too! After making these today, I was also thinking that Stuffing Waffles…
