Instant Pot Garlic Lemon Spaghetti
Dinner In About 8 Minutes

The ability to make pasta in the instant pot without having to boil and drain is a gift that keeps on giving. This Instant Pot Garlic Lemon Spaghetti is one of our favorite Instant Pot meals.
You will have a hard time getting people to stop eating it right from the pot. Easy, quick, affordable, and delicious.
When I first made this, Mister Tipsy stood at the counter and was literally shoveling it into his mouth. He nearly ate the whole bowl before I could even photograph it for my social media.
I have to admit, it was very good and I would have probably done the same if he didn’t get to it first.

Simple Ingredients & Simple To Make
There are very few ingredients for this recipe. You can see them all pictured above.
I love using the chicken bouillon. I get that big boy at Aldi, but I also know it is at many stores.
I also use that chicken bouillon for another Instant Pot recipe, my Spanish Rice. It is by the brand Knorr and I love it for the convenience and the flavor.
It is definitely a pantry staple in my house.
Instant Pot Info
I have a very old model Instant Pot. It was one of the first ones on the market.
I have no issues with mine having a burn notice. You may need to adjust your settings for your Instant Pot if you have a newer model.
I have an Instant Pot Ravioli recipe that people love, but a few people say they get a burn notice on the model they use. I have heard that in the newer Instant Pots, you cannot stir the pasta into the liquids.
If anyone has any advice about newer Instant Pots, let me know.

Making This Without An Instant Pot
This recipe can be made without an Instant Pot. You will use the same ingredients but reduce the broth by half.
Boil your pasta on the side until it is just al dente. Sauté your garlic in the olive oil and add the dried oregano, then add the halved amount of broth and the lemon juice and bring to a simmer.
Add your al dente cooked pasta to the skillet and let this simmer covered for about 15 minutes, then uncovered for 5 to 7 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
Then stir in your cheese.
The Wetness
If you make this in the Instant Pot, it will be slightly liquidy when you first release the steam and take off the lid. It says in the steps on the recipe card that you have to let this sit and let the liquid absorb for a few minutes after cooking.
Adding the cheese will also thicken up that liquid. This will be a little more saucy than most pastas, so do not fret.
IF for some reason there is a ton of liquid, you can turn on the sauté setting on your Instant Pot and let this liquid simmer out. Stir the pasta from time to time if you do this so it does not burn.
The Bowl
I always use this bowl for serving pasta. Everyone always asks me where I got it.
It was a gift that my cousin Kim bought me from Pier One about 25 years ago. I always look for something similar to link, but I have never been able to find one like it,.
Instant Pot Garlic Lemon Spaghetti Recipe

Pasta so easy to make you'll barely have to do anything and so delicious you'll struggle not to eat it out of the pot.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of uncooked spaghetti (for me, its about 1/2 the box)
- 1 large lemon, juiced
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of chicken bouillon + 2 1/4 cups of water OR 2 1/4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
- 1 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Set your Instant Pot to sauté, add the 1/4 C of olive oil and sauté the garlic for a couple minutes.
- Crack the spaghetti in half and add it to the pot with all the other ingredients except the cheese.
- Give it all a loose stir, do not over mix. Cover, manual setting high, 6 minutes.
- When the timer goes off, do a quick release. There will look like there's extra water. Give it all a toss, let it sit for 5 minutes, and it will thicken up.
- Toss pasta in a bowl with cheese, maybe more salt if you think it needs it, and more black pepper and oregano after you taste it to see.
