*This Lemon Caper Chicken Cutlet Recipe is a paid sponsorship between The Tipsy Housewife & Cento Foods. Lemon Caper Chicken Cutlets with Anchovies Several years ago I went to an Italian restaurant and was introduced to a fantastic appetizer called Bagna Cauda. It is a warm butter and olive oil dip with garlic and salty anchovies. Now I know that anchovies aren’t a fan favorite with a lot of people but they are delicious with Lemon Caper Chicken Cutlets. If you haven’t tried them, you are missing out. Anchovies remind me of prosciutto of the sea. They are dry, salty…

  • Meatloaf Casserole

    October 9, 2019thetipsyhousewife

Full disclosure, my meatloaf recipe is not MY meatloaf recipe. It is the recipe my Stepfather’s Mom used and it is absolutely fantastic. It is one of those perfect meatloaf recipes that is not too dense and just enough onion and spice. I make it at least once a month and it is great the night I serve it and even better the next as sandwiches. I used to make this meatloaf casserole recipe ten years ago or more with a group of seniors I used to teach cooking to and it was one of our favorite recipes. I decided…

    Creamy Onion Casserole

    October 8, 2019thetipsyhousewife

Let’s face it, when it comes to Thanksgiving and holiday recipes we all have our traditional recipes that we use year after year and that our family’s come to look forward to. As a recipe blogger coming up with new holiday recipes is the most difficult of tasks because we all like what we like. I myself am guilty of this. We keep our Thanksgiving dinner small but we still  make every single traditional dish because it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without them. I did want to come up with something a little different this year so I started to peruse…

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #Nexium24HrGameReady #CollectiveBias It’s football season and we are all about celebrating football Sunday. One of my favorite recipes to make for football Sunday is this Meat Lovers Chili. It has all the spices and its a great main for entertaining all my football loving friends. My favorite way to serve this chili is with all the toppings on a chili or taco bar and let my guests build their own bowls. As we have all gotten older we prefer tailgating at home instead…

    Zesty Bean Salad

    August 6, 2019thetipsyhousewife

Without fail, Mister Tipsy texts me everyday, halfway through his work day, to ask me what we are having for dinner. Last week when he texted me and asked and I responded with my answer that we were having Zesty Bean Salad, I didn’t get the typical excited response. He hasn’t quite caught on that I have been working more meatless meals into our weekly rotation this Summer. I knew this Zesty Bean Salad would be a hard sell in theory, but I also knew once he tasted it , he would love it. I used to make a very…

    Asian Grilled Chicken Sandwich

    July 5, 2019thetipsyhousewife

I have been resurrecting a lot of classic recipes that I find in my Grandma’s cookbooks and giving them a modern day makeover. I came up with this recipe for an Asian Grilled Chicken Sandwich using a classic kitchen hack where you marinate your chicken breasts in Zesty Italian Salad Dressing. This Asian Grilled Chicken Sandwich reminds me of a play on a Vietnamese Bahn Mi Sandwich. A Bahn Mi Sandwich is a typical Vietnamese Sandwich on a French Baguette and stuffed with marinated meats, cucumbers, herbs and pickled veggies.  Last Sunday we were having Mister Tipsy’s Dad over for…

  • The Chelada

    July 3, 2019thetipsyhousewife

Several years ago on a trip to Mexico, a bartender made me The Chelada one morning after a fun night out the evening before. He promised me The Chelada would cure my hangover. I watched him make the the chelada using beer, clamato juice, lime and a few other of his secret ingredients. When he brought it to me it looked suspiciously like a bloody mary but not as thick as a bloody mary and not decorated with a salad bar of garnishes. I wasn’t sure about it when I first saw it because a bloody mary isn’t my favorite…

    Asian Inspired Pasta Salad

    July 2, 2019thetipsyhousewife

I had an idea for this Asian Inspired Pasta Salad for a few weeks now and I spent some time sorting out the recipe in my head before actually creating it.  I knew I wanted this pasta salad to be slightly sweet and have super crunchy vegetables, but I wasn’t sure about the rest. I didn’t decide all the ingredients for this recipe until I was actually in the store. I spotted the creamy poppy seed dressing that I used in this and built the rest of the pasta salad around it. I also had the idea to add mini…
