When Health and Happiness Collide In A Recipe

Pizza Roll Salad

Pizza Roll Salad features a salty and tangy combination of two kinds of olives, sun dried tomatoes, onions, and a few other ingredients like Parmesan cheese and dried Italian herbs to create the perfect combination of healthy and indulgent. Top it with toasted pizza rolls brushed in a garlic onion butter then drizzle with a creamy garlic vinaigrette to craft the perfect meal.

Haters are going to say that I copied this recipe from TikTok, but the reality is I made this salad for a sponsored Instagram post way back in 2021 when I did a partnership with a new Pizza Roll company! I never posted the recipe here to The Tipsy Housewife, only to my Instagram.

Recently I was perusing my old Instagram posts and came across this amazing salad and knew I had to post it here.

The pizza roll salad is very easy to make. It will satisfy your cravings for something healthy and something healthy for your soul.

There is a full recipe card at the end of this post. I promised in the recipe card to share some ingredient recommendations before the card.

If you need some clarification, read through the post. If not, see you at the recipe card!

Pizza Roll Perfection

It is not a secret that I love Aldi. I have been shopping there for decades, way before it got “cool.”

Many, if not almost all of my recipes can be made using ingredients from Aldi. One product I swear by is the Mama Cozzi brand Pizza Rolls.

They are the best pizza rolls. They are totally stuffed to the brim, they bake up great, and they are not greasy.

They also come in a pretty big bag. This is not a sponsored post, I just really love Aldi Pizza Rolls.

You will be very happy using these in your Pizza Roll Salad.

The Expression Of Garlic

I have a few dressings I really love. If you know me, you know I love Western French Dressing.

This is the dressing I use in my Midwest Taco Salad and my Copycat Arby’s Beef and Cheddar Sliders. The other dressing I love is Garlic Expressions Dressing.

I use it in this recipe mixed with some mayonnaise to make it creamy. This is also the same dressing I use for my Pizza Salad.

I see now they sell a three pack at Costco. I think you can also order it online.

If you cannot find it, any garlic vinaigrette will be ok.

Sun Dried Tomatoes

The recipe calls for sun dried tomatoes in the oil. The measurement for this in the recipe card says seven ounces.

You can easily use more of these tomatoes if you like. I personally like to use more tomatoes than the recipe calls for.

You can reduce or increase any of the ingredients that are listed on the recipe card.

You can also adjust the types of olives that the recipe calls for. I like to use green and Kalamata olives, but you can pick any olives that you choose or that you prefer.

You can also add more cheese if you like. This salad is very versatile so make it your own!

Another Snacky Salad

If you like the idea of this snacky salad, be sure to try my Fall Salad that has fried onion rings on top! I think that putting a few fried onions rings on top of a salad is one of the greatest ideas I have ever had.

That is, as good as the idea to put pizza rolls on my salad!
