August 20, 2017thetipsyhousewife

A great dip can make any party special.

Why?

Because nearly any snack, even a bowl of bland chips or dry pretzels, instantly becomes irresistible when covered in a good dip.

This is a safe place to admit if you don’t have a devilish dip on hand.

Are you ashamed of your dip game?

Have you shown up to parties with a chili cheese dip in hand, one too many times?

You’ve come to the right place. It’s time for a dip makeover.

This wedge salad dip recipe is sure to be a hit.

It’s got pretty much everything you could want: bacon, cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and more.

It even has vegetables, so that means its healthy. That makes sense, right?

If you bring this delight to your next party I guarantee you will be invited to more.

For a full list of ingredients and instructions, I’ve included a recipe card at the end of the post. On your way there you can check out these pictures showing each individual step.

The first step is to add cream cheese, sour cream, and Ranch dressing in a mixer and whip it all up until it’s fluffy. Afterwards you’ll spread that mixture on a serving dish, as pictured below, and add chives on top.

Add lettuce on top of that spread, as seen below, according to your preference.

Next add a layer the bacon on top.

Top the bacon layer with Bleu Cheese and tomato.

Are you a big bleu cheese head and you’re looking to add a lot more tang?

An alternative to this recipe is to omit the ranch dressing, reduce the sour cream by half, and add Bleu Cheese dressing to the base.

You can also add any dressing to the top to finish it off. I like to use French cause it gives it a zing, but you may prefer something lemony for extra citrus or a vinaigrette for additional acid.

This dip is also nicely affordable to make in bulk.

I should note that I got all of my ingredients at Aldi for around ten dollars and this dip was for a party with fifty guests.

You can choose which snacks you’d like to dip in your dip, but personally I’d recommend serving with pita crackers or tortilla chips.

I bet you can already feel your dip game growing stronger! If you’re ready to move to the next level and bring TWO dips to one party, consider making my viral Pepper Jelly Cheese Dip.

Happy Eating!
